Fort Bend MUD 46 Enters Stage 1 Drought Contingency

Missouri City (the “City”) has entered Stage 1 of the City’s Drought Contingency Plan. Since Fort Bend County MUD No. 46 (the “District”) receives water from the City, the District is enacting Stage 1 as well.

Voluntary Water Use Restrictions for Reducing Water Demand

The following voluntary water use restrictions shall apply to all persons:

  1. Users will be asked to voluntarily reduce water use and will be informed of specific steps that can be taken to reduce water use.

  2. All outdoor water usage including, but not limited to, lawn and garden watering, car washing, and window washing shall be limited as follows:

    • Only District residents and other users of water within the District with even-numbered addresses may use water outdoors on even-numbered days and only District residents and other users of water within the District with odd-numbered addresses may use water outdoors on odd-numbered days.

      In the event no street address exists, only District residents and other users of water within the District living on the north and west side of a street may use water outdoors on even-numbered days and only District residents and other users of water within the District on the south and east side of a street may use water outdoors on odd-numbered days.

    • Outdoor water use shall be prohibited between the hours of 6:00am and 10:00am and between the hours of 6:00pm and 12:00am (midnight).
